We announced before that we are going to feature several charities in our blog so we can increase awareness to the people that are in need.
We’d like to present the charity organization “Pimp My Village foundation”. Do not be fooled by the name which is pretty provocative, due to the word Pimp. The name is based on the popular tv program Pimp my ride, where people’s old cars get tuned and modernised. So the idea is that the people behind this organization go to underpriviliged villages in Africa and modernise them.
Basically it comes down to, that this foundation focusses on giving the people that live in the villages a possibility to a brighter future.
Instead of giving them fish they give them the fishing rod
Pimp My Village builds hospitals, schools, provides a clean water source and does whatever else would benefit the community of that certain village.
Another great thing of this foundation is its clear and visual program. There inovative donation system exactly lets you donate where you want to donate. For example if you would like to provide for the schoolbooks for the children of a village, you can donate for exactly that. This makes donating very transparent and you always know where your help will go to. Next to that you will also see the project develop, through photos and movies made on site.
The Prayer-Bracelet.com team is glad to promote this awesome initiative and we wish Georgina Kwakye (Founder of Pimp My Village) and all the people behind the scenes, that make this initiative possible, lots of success.
