Being Wealthy Starts with Being Generous

Wealth and Desire

It’s no secret that plenty of people aspire to be wealthy.  They want that smoking hot sports car, the pool in the backyard and at least four vacations a year.  Sounds nice, right?  Yet, even though plenty and many people desire to be wealthy, majorities aren’t   Actually, they’re far from it.  A person can work their entire life towards being wealthy.  They focused on school, went to an Ivy League college and they still don’t have the sports car, pool or four vacations a year.  So, how can someone work so hard for wealth and never achieve it?  It’s simple, it’s ones motives.  If one desires to be wealthy solely for materialistic things, unless they’re living off of others prayers or made a deal with the devil, they aren’t ever going to achieve the satisfaction of wealth they yearn.  If one wants to be blessed with wealth, it starts with being generous and with motives of wealth that don’t involve being obsessed with materialistic possessions.

Generosity

Take a look at a handful of well known individuals that are wealthy.  Each one of them donates money for a cause they believe in.  Some donate to education, after school programs, Red Cross and many other organizations that help people in need.  It’s called giving back or paying it forward.  However, you don’t have to be wealthy to start giving back or paying it forward, it starts now!  The next time a pizza is delivered to your house, tip the driver well.  Take a friend out for lunch and pay for them or even when you’re paying for your coffee, apply money to the persons order behind you.  Acting generously isn’t just for you; it’s to inspire others to do the same.  A lot of people stray from being generous with their money because they believe it has to be a large amount of money to be considered generous, but that’s not true!  Every dollar makes a difference in someone’s life.

Why Act Generously

Acting generously – like mentioned above – isn’t just for you, it’s for others too!  For example: Let’s say you paid for the persons order behind you without ever looking for a thank you or lime light, you spark a fire in someone or plants the seed for the harvest per se.  It encourages that person to do what you just did for them and this pleases God immensely.  Why does it please Him?  Well, you didn’t have to pay for the person’s order behind you, but you took the time to do so.  In our world today, all people care about is every nickel and dime, loosing focus of what’s really important. By being generous with your money, it shows God that you have no attachment to it; it doesn’t rule your life.  If you take a look around, do your homework , you’ll notice that the people who can’t afford to be generous or giving with their money are often times more generous than people who can afford it.  That’s food for thought.

Stay Connected In Generosity

Starting out with acting generous, it’s exciting and fun.  However, the more experienced and willing you are to act generously, the harder it can get to think of new ways to be generous.  When this happens, or really before it happens – you should pray to God about it.  Willingly offer to be generous for someone and God will put someone in your path to help out and be generous to.  There’s a lot of people out there who need a little encouragement and you can give it.  As well, God will bless you for your good deeds. You get what you put out in the world.  So if you want to be wealthy, be generous and do it with a pure heart!
