Brojanica and Brojanice
Its time to make it simple for all those people searching for Brojanica‘s online. There haven’t been a lot of sources that offer authentic and blessed Brojanica‘s online. And we thought it was time to make it simple for our Orthodox brothers from the Balkans. Why Balkans? you ask. Well Brojanica and Brojanice is how people from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Macedonia call the Orthodox Prayer Rope. They would normally get their prayer ropes from their local Orthodox Church, but when you live abroad and do not have an Orthodox Church in your town it becomes a bit hard to get by them. So for all those who have been searching in vein, good news, we ship worldwide.
An important thing to mention is that our brojanice are handmade in Orthodox Churches and are indeed purified. This makes 33Knots one of the few online stores that offer authentic brojanica‘s. Our product portfolio consist of prayer rope bracelets and necklaces. We offer them in a variety of colors and with a variety of divider beads. Every now and then we introduce new colors and new types of prayer rope. One of our recent introductions was the Rosary like brojanica. Basically this is an Orthodox Prayer Rope that is knotted in a way that it resembles a rosary necklace. This is a bit confusing because it is still a brojanica made in an Orthodox Church but because of its longer length it looks like a rosary. Also we offer the traditional 300Knot brojanica, this is a prayer rope that is mostly used by monks but due to recurring request from our customers we have included them too.
If you are wondering how the brojanica is called in other Orthodox Countries, here are some examples. In Greece a prayer rope is called a Komboskini, in Russia a Chotki and in Romania a Mătănii. Hope you will find this information useful, feel free to browse through are store and if you have any questions feel free to contact us through our contact page.
